This course will provide an overview of the scope and major provisions of the Building Safety Bill in England and will also outline the more rigorous regime for the design, construction and operation of “Higher Risk Buildings” – those residential buildings over 18m in height or having seven or more stories.

To enable delegates to understand the full scope, extent and implications of the building safety reform programme and of the Building Safety Bill, Fire Safety Act and supporting measures. 

Understand the full range of amendments to existing building regulations and the scope of the new regulations that come into force in June 2022;

Appreciate the full range of policy development that will have a direct impact on the construction sector over the coming three years;

Recognise the significant changes in the requirements for competence in the built  environment sector, including the building control sector and those who operate higher risk buildings;

Understand that the building safety reform programme will have an impact on every aspect of the design and construction of buildings.
