A series of webinars to provide information in relation to these new requirements
Guidance has been published for the house building industry ahead of new regulations on Automatic Fire Suppression Systems (AFSS). Legislation was laid before the Scottish Parliament 9 September 2020 with a coming into force date of 1 March 2021www.legislation.gov.uk/ssi/2020/275/introduction/made
The changes mean all new-build social homes, flats, and shared multi-occupied residential buildings must be fitted with automatic fire suppression systems.
Building Standards officials will be represented at these events along with the British Automatic Fire Sprinkler Association (BAFSA) and the International Water Mist Association (IWMA) who will provide some further insight and detail from an industry perspective.
