Procurement law is a fast-moving area with new legislation and regular case law changing the obligations on public bodies.
In July 2021, a substantial change in policy in public procurement in Northern Ireland was announced. On a phased basis, the changes will require scoring of social value in public procurement and the introduction of minimum contractual requirements, particularly in relation to employment protections.
