^{_{Jamie attended the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen between 2010 and 2014, graduating with a first class honours degree in Architectural Technology. He then obtained a work placement in January 2013 at Inspired Design & Development Ltd, being offered a full-time contract once graduated and working part-time throughout his final year of studies.}}

^{_{Upon graduating, Jamie began working full-time at Inspired Design & Development Ltd as an Architectural Technologist. Initially, he worked on small scale domestic projects to gain vital knowledge of the industry. Since July 2014, he has remained in the same postition completing several projects that range in size and contract value from domestic extensions to a 1.5 million pound equestrian centre.}}

^{_{Throughout Jamie's career thus far, he has always been proactive in being a part of the Institute, from a student member through to Chartered Member.}}

^{_{Being young and taking that step from university to practice was a challenging time for Jamie. As part of the aspirATion Group, he hopes to make that jump more simplistic for members and show why it is important to be part of the Institute. Jamie aims to arrange social events through to continual personal development courses and ultimately form a committee for the Scotland East area. He has a strong link with the course leaders at RGU and this will only assist with upcoming graduates and members.}}

^{_{Gary Mees PPCIAT MCIAT is a Chartered Architectural Technologist and runs his own practice, Gary Mees Architectural Technology, providing services to commercial and private clients on projects ranging in value from £5,000 up to £3.5m. He is a Registered CDMc; Energy Assessor and Certifier of Design [Energy].}}

^{_{Gary has been involved with the built environment sector for over 40 years, having worked with, and for, contractors and semi-local authority (Scottish Special Housing Association) and within private architectural practices in Edinburgh.}}

^{_{For CIAT, Gary has been Regional Councillor for Scotland East Region, Vice-President Technical and Vice-President Practice. He became President at the AGM held in Edinburgh on 28 November 2015.}}

^{_{Gary represents CIAT on a number of working groups: CIC Health & Safety Committee, BSi Committee, CIC Scotland Regional Committee and CIC BIM Hub. He is a member of the RIAS Energy Certification Scheme Panel and was a member of the Building Standards Advisory Committee (Scotland).}}

^{_{His contributions externally have included a presentation at the Association for Project Safety 2013 Convention, in Belfast, on the potential implications of the CDM Regulations on designers and as part of a Panel for The Build Show held in October 2015. Gary has been a judge on the APS Student Award Scheme and is an External Examiner for Robert Gordon University.}}

^{_{Graham qualified as a full member of SAAT on 10 October 1981 and has watched the Institute evolve from SAAT through BIAT to Royal Charter, CIAT. He represented the Scotland East Region on Council for 6 years from 2005 and has served on the Regional Committee in various positions over the years, including Chair (present), Treasurer and Education Officer.}}

^{_{He is an Assessor for progression to Chartered Membership within CIAT and was awarded the Institute's Gold Award in 2016 for 'dedicated services to the Institute and the Scotland East Region'.}}

^{_{Graham has worked in architectural practice for some 44 years and counting; still learning.}}

^{_{A CIAT member since 2012, Derek has over 30 years’ of construction industry experience, having been employed in the drawing offices and technical departments of developers and contractors before setting up his own architectural practice in 2012.}}

^{_{With a wealth of housebuilding knowledge and timber-frame expertise, his practice, DX2 Consultancy, focusses on low-rise, new-build housing, and householder extensions and renovations.}}

^{_{Derek is also a CIOB member, and has a keen interest in all aspects of construction technology.}}

_{^{David has been working in the built environment for almost 30 years, having worked across both Scotland and England for a number of organisations in differing sectors. He has experienced a variety of Architectural roles including those for Housing Developers, Housing Associations and Private Practices. He studied at Inverness College of Higher and Further Education qualifying with an ONC in Building Studies and then an HNC in Architectural Technology.}}

_{^{David became a fully Chartered Member of the Institute on 19 April 2011. He has been an active member of the Scotland East Region since 2009, taking on a variety of positions over the years at regional committee level including CDP Officer, Secretary and elected to Regional Councillor in 2017.}}
