KODA Architects has a position for an enthusiastic and motivated Architectural Technologist to join the team. They will be based at our Hereford Office, from where we undertake diverse and interesting projects throughout the country. KODA Architects cover all RIBA stages in commercial, heritage, ecclesiastic, domestic residential and developer projects. We are looking for an individual to assist our growing team in providing assistance throughout all RIBA stages and we will offer a competitive salary dependant on qualification and experience.
What the role entails:
- Working on projects through RIBA Stages 2-6, involving client and design team liaison, technical design decisions, the delivery of planning, tender, detail design contract drawings and documentation.
The candidate that we are looking for:
- Competent technical expertise in construction methods and materials, coupled with a thorough understanding of the UK Building Regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in collaborating with clients, stakeholders, professional industry consultants and contractors.
- A knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual to join part of our collaborative team, sharing innovative ideas and experience.
Minimum experience:
- Minimum of 2 year’s experience in the technical design of domestic, commercial and heritage projects.
- Ideally proficiency in Vectorworks however training can be provided.
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
Preferred supplementary qualifications and experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Building Technology or Architecture
- Qualified Architectural Technologist with or working towards ACIAT or MCIAT accreditation.
- UK driving licence
