The Role
We are looking for a mid-level Architectural Technologist to take day-to-day responsibility for packages within a small project team: producing coordinated models, drawings, and schedules, contributing to specifications, and coordinating building regulations matters under the guidance of a senior architect.
Key responsibilities
- Produce coordinated Stage 3–4 models, drawings, details, and schedules to established standards
- Maintain documents and digital objects within a common data environment
- Model with precision and maintain good project practices
- Create and manage Revit families to LOD300
- Prepare information for planning/Building Control
- Contribute to NBS specifications and product research
- Coordinate with consultants; log and resolve clashes and design issues
- Support tender queries and basic site technical responses
Key Skills
- 3–5 years UK experience, including at least one full RIBA Stage 4 package
- Strong Revit/BIM skills including familiarity with BIM Collaborate Pro
- Good grasp of UK building regulations and planning framework
- Strong organisational skills and time management along with good communication skills
Additional Interests
- Working towards MCIAT
- Experience with Listed Buildings and historical methods of construction
- Familiarity with Scan-to-BIM processes and geometry extraction from point-clouds
How We Work
- We work together in teams on a small number of projects under the support of experienced project architects. Work follows agreed deadlines with regular weekly plans
- You will be responsible for delivering accurate and precise outputs to program (coordinated models, drawings, schedules and document registers following established conventions)
- Maintain project procedures and prepare draft responses to queries
- Prepare site meeting records, record coordination decisions, meeting minutes and file notes
- Undertake clash checks, identify and raise coordination issues and log resolutions
- Provide clear, proactive communication including direct liaison with consultants and suppliers
