With new opportunities to acquire more projects, Armstrong Burton Group are looking for a Principal Architectural Technologist to join our Design service in the Midlands. We have the flexibility to consider candidates who would like to be based in either Birmingham City Centre, Sutton Coldfield or Lockington, Derbyshire as we seek the best candidate that has a passion for design and creating new and exciting developments.

You will be working alongside architects and designers providing technical expertise to realise the Architects vision. You will be responsible for job running, leading a team of technicians, liaising with clients, preparing working drawing packages, liaising with other external consultants and checking supplier information.

Person Specification

Do you have proven ability in all aspects of architectural design? Do you have the ability to support us with developing our network of clients? Do you pride yourself on producing high-quality work with a strong professional and business acumen? Then we would love to hear from you and talk to you about this opportunity. Candidates are welcome to get in touch on an informal basis to discuss and learn more about the role.

We are looking for candidates to demonstrate that they have the following:

  • Extensive experience either working within a housebuilder or architectural practice involved with residential projects
  • Experience of producing residential building working drawings
  • A thorough knowledge of house construction and current building regulations
  • Fully proficient in AutoCad
  • Self-motivated with an excellent eye for detail
  • Successful project management and effective organisational and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Candidates will hold a relevant qualification, experience in Revit would be an advantage but is not essential
