Dr Matthew Brooke-Peat FCIAT CEnv is a Chartered Architectural Technologist, Chartered Builder and Chartered Environmentalist.

Since 1994, he has held positions in construction, architectural practice, academia, and technical consultancy. He was trained in the assessment of thermal bridges by Tim Ward and Sean Doran of the Building Research Establishment (BRE) in 2011. Matthew was awarded a PhD in 2019 for his work developing a forensic methodology for assessing the impact of thermal bridging on building fabric performance.

He led the building fabric modelling research and consultancy within the Leeds Sustainability Institute for 10 years before joining Bramhall Blenkarn Leonard where he is currently an Associate leading on technical matters across the Practice.
