Lucy will share how locally recycled construction and demolition waste is being converted into one of the world’s lowest carbon facing bricks by Kenoteq, developers of the pioneering K-Briq® and K-Slip™. Developed at Heriot Watt University together with one of Scotland’s leading waste management companies, 2 million certified K-Briqs and K-Slips have started to roll off the new commercial-scale production line in East Lothian to bring new ways to enhance the embodied carbon performance, sustainability and aesthetic of projects.  Kenoteq will present the story behind the award-winning K-Briq and K-Slips, sharing their circular economy approach, projects and technical and sustainability specifications.
