2023 SocEnv Awards winners announced

Society for the Environment (SocEnv) has announced the winners for Environmental Professional and Registrant Newcomer awards.

More than 7,500 environmental professionals meet the required standards to highlight their environmental and sustainability expertise as a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Registered Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or Registered Environmental Technician (REnvTech).

The finalists were selected from an array of nominations, received for environmental professionals working in agriculture, environmental management, energy, event management, water supply, transport, waste, engineering, and more.

The 2023 winners are:

2023 Environmental Professional of the Year Winner
Claire Wansbury CEnv, Fellow and Technical Director  – Atkins Ltd

2023 Environmental Professional of Year Runner Up
Julie Duffus CEnv, Sustainability Senior Manager – International Olympic Committee

2023 Registrant Newcomer of the Year Winner
William Oliver CEnv, Farmer – A H Oliver and Son
