Winners of Architectural Technology Awards announced
GM Design Associates Ltd of Coleraine has been named Winner of the 2016 Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology, for the Castle Hill Events Space, Dungannon, County Tyrone
Members and guests gathered on 12 November in Southampton for the presentation of the 2016 Awards at the Presidents' Ball in the Grand Harbour Hotel, following two days of Institute events. Other results were as follows:

- Highly Commended: Lee Evans Partnership LLP for Samphire Hoe Education Centre
- Commended: Brian Davies MCIAT and Mark Davies MCIAT of Arc Design for Streamline House
The Alan King Award 2016
- Winner: Brian Davies MCIAT and Mark Davies MCIAT of Arc Design for Streamline House
- Commended: Chetham Architecture Design for Hill House
- Commended: GROW Design Studio for Goff's Oak
Student Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology (Project) 2016
- Winner: Nathan Saulle ACIAT, Sheffield Hallam University for Woodland Works Discovery Centre — A Timber Showcase
- Highly Commended: Tom Welch ACIAT, Southampton Solent University for Glastonbury Tor Heritage Education Centre
- Commended: Wayne Croasdell ACIAT, University of Central Lancashire for Ullswater Yacht club Replacement Clubhouse
Student Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology (Report) 2016
- Winner: Sean Knight ACIAT, Coventry University for Integrating New Structures Within Historic Buildings
- Highly Commended: Naomi Clare ACIAT of Sheffield Hallam University for Woodland Works– Greater Sustainability Through Intelligent Design
- Commended: Nathan Saulle ACIAT, Sheffield Hallam University for Design Integration, Product Information and Performance Within a Mixed-Use Timber Building
