Alex Naraian becomes President Elect
At the elections on 10 September, Alex Naraian MCIAT was voted in as President Elect. Alex is a Chartered Architectural Technologist and South East Region Councillor, and is an Associate Director of ADAM Architecture.
He said 'To receive such an overwhelming majority in the vote provides the confidence and endorsement that we can now proceed in developing and delivering the key focus points of "Identity", "Presence" and "Growth" as are laid out in my manifesto. This is exciting and I believe that there is a bright and vibrant future for our Institute and the profession of Architectural Technology.'
The role formally commences on 12 November 2016, with one year as President Elect, followed by a two year Presidential term and then a final year as Immediate Past President.
In the other categories, Doug Fewkes MCIAT was re-elected as Honorary Treasurer for the next two years and Kevin Crawford MCIAT was re-elected as Vice-President Technical for the next two years.
