Member wins Outstanding Woman in Construction Award

 

Tanja Smith MCIAT has been named the 'Outstanding Woman in Construction' for 2017 in the Women in Construction Awards. 

 

The Awards were presented on 1 March in a ceremony at the Hilton Deansgate hotel in Manchester. Now in its eleventh year, the Awards provide a showcase for the brightest and the best female achievers in the construction and built environment industries.

 

Tanja, who is Director of Technology at Gradon Architecture in Ryton, Tyne and Wear, received her Award from TV presenter Jenni Bond. Speaking of the Award, Tanja said 'I never thought I’d win – I was nominated by someone in our office and submitted my entry not thinking I’d get it. A huge surprise but what an amazing honour!'
