Call for Evidence - Scottish Building Regulations: Review of Energy Standards
A review of the energy standards of the Scottish building regulations has commenced, and the views of stakeholders on the impact the last set of energy standards that were introduced in 2015 had, or continues to have, on industry in designing and constructing buildings is being requested.
The information that is being sought looks at whether improved energy standards acts as a driver for beneficial change, and the challenges that have been faced in meeting these standards and how they were overcome, and where you consider that there are opportunities to further improve the energy performance of buildings by means that are both technically feasible and cost effective.
This feedback will inform the scope of topics considered as the next set of energy standards and supporting guidance is being developed. In all of these areas, you are asked to bring forward robust evidence to support your experiences and the case for further change.
