CIAT in Chile
On 6 November representatives of UK government and industry bodies, including CIAT, will attend a BIM Trade Mission to the Chilean capital of Santiago.
Under its US$28bn infrastructure masterplan, the Chilean government is developing new ports, airports, roads, highways and public buildings that will transform the prosperity of the country. The Chilean government is keen to harness the world renowned expertise of the UK’s infrastructure and construction organisations to deliver this ambitious plan.
The government specifically wants to learn how it can apply BIM UK protocols to these projects, how they can improve productivity to deliver value and how they can encourage ingenuity in design, materials, build systems and products.
Additionally, public demand for sustainability is high on the agenda with ever more inventive and resourceful approaches being sought.
CIAT will be represented on the mission by Tara Page, International Director, and Solam Sizer MCIAT, Chair of Accreditation Panel.
