CICAIR statutory designation withdrawn

The statutory designation to the Construction Industry Council Approved Inspectors Register (CICAIR) Ltd was withdrawn on 31 March 2024.

The responsibility for Approved Inspectors and (in due course) Registered Building Control Approvers has been transferred to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and its new regulatory body, the Building Safety Regulator (BSR).

This will subsume CICAIR's current role in maintaining and operating the Approved Inspectors Register with effect from April 2024.
