Dissertation questionnaire on mass timber construction

Take part in this research study for a dissertation.

A fourth year student at Robert Gordon University is looking for working professionals to complete a short anonymous survey.

Mass timber construction within Scotland & the UK primarily consists of building with Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), Glulam, Dowel-Laminated Timber (DLT) and Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL). These building components boast lighter weights, fewer carbon emissions and a faster building time.

For Scotland and the rest of the UK, the use of this building method is still not commonly implemented and has yet to gain momentum compared to its counterparts despite the current Scottish legislation 'Climate Change Emissions Reduction Targets Scotland Act 2019' aiming to have net-zero carbon emissions by 2045.

The purpose of this questionnaire is to find out why the industry is not utilising this technology more.
