Dementia and town planning

New report published

The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) has issued a report on dementia and town planning.

Good quality housing and well-planned local environments can have a substantial impact on the quality of life of someone living with this illness and with the number of sufferers in the UK set to reach one million by 2021, it is an issue of growing importance.

This report gives advice on how good planning can create better environments for people living with dementia. It summarises expert advice, outlines key planning and health policy and highlights good practice case studies.
