Europe's largest aquarium to open in September
The largest freshwater aquarium in Europe is to open in September.
The Aquatis Aquarium -Vivarium in Lausanne, Switzerland is billing itself as 'an exceptional journey through our planet's most fascinating freshwater environments.'
Aquatis contains almost two million litres of water, 20 different ecosystems, 46 aquariums/vivariums/terrariums, 100 reptiles and 10,00 fish from five continents.
Using digital technology such as full scale projections, Aquatis provides a 'total immersive and interactive scenography' of aquatic flora and fauna.
