Following the announcement  that the United Kingdom has voted in a referendum to leave the European Union, Gary Mees, President of CIAT has written to all members to reassure them that despite what they have seen across the media, nothing can or will change immediately.

He has also reassured them of the Institute’s ongoing commitment to continue with its Strategic Plan which remains unchanged and its ongoing objective to protect and promote the discipline and members.

Gary said 'Today there is much we don’t know about the timescale and the nature and extent of changes which will follow.  However, be assured that as things move forward, your Executive Board will work together to understand the implications and impacts for the discipline and members, and develop robust and resilient plans to address those implications and their impacts, and exert influence for the benefit and best interests of the discipline, Institute and all members.'
