Within the Statement, the MHCLG has also published the clarified building regulations guidance on fire safety (Approved Document B) for consultation.

This consultation addresses the proposed clarification of statutory guidance on fire safety (Approved Document B), and which aims to improve usability and reduce the risk of misinterpretation by those carrying out and inspecting building work; we have reviewed the information regarding this consultation, and we can confirm that this does not contain information of any technical substance. However, should you wish to respond to this consultation, you can do so directly via the link above, and also forward your comments to us for us to consolidate in the Institute's response.
