New Building Equality Network - South Wales and South-West

Building Equality are looking to set up a regional network in the South-West and South Wales to add to their London, Leeds and Manchester networks.

Building Equality is an alliance of built environment consultants, engineers, developers, contractors, and institutions who are passionate about working together and harnessing our collective power to drive LGBT+ inclusion in the sector. They are currently looking to expand the network, particulary in the South-West and South Wales.

With current presence in Leeds, Manchester and London, there are over 30 organisations from the sector regularly participating in joint initiatives to support LGBT+ inclusion.

Through creating visibility, enabling collaboration and improving engagement, their work has had a positive impact across the industry through:

  • Raising awareness about LGBT+ matters
  • Embedding the importance of creating LGBT+ inclusive workplaces
  • Aiding recruitment and retention within the industry
  • Helping to win work

Building Equality's vision is to have a built environment sector that is wholly welcoming, inclusive and supportive of LGBT+ people across the UK. To achieve this vision, they are actively looking to set up a regional network in the South-West and South Wales.
