Phase out of 2019 Professional Standards Framework

The current 2019 Professional Standards Framework (PSF) is being phased out.

The current 2019 Professional Standards Framework (PSF), which provides information and guidance on the Educational, Practice and Professional standards for those seeking to qualify as Chartered Architectural Technologists, is being phased out on 30 April 2025.

The PSF will be superseded by the Professional Standards Competency Framework (PSCF). Professional Assessment applications cross referenced against the PSCF will be accepted from 1 May 2025.

For those wishing to submit their Professional Application and supporting evidence using the PSF, they will need to do so by 23:59 on 30 April 2025 by emailing [email protected] using WeTransfer (or alike) (Dropbox not currently accepted).

Our Qualifying in Architectural Technology films provide insight and details on the requirements to qualify via the Professional Assessment. These can be viewed here and here.

A Chartered Architectural Technologist short course will be delivered over Teams in three sessions from 12:00-13:00 for applicants planning to submit by the 30 April deadline on:

  • 19 February

  • 19 March

Please email [email protected] to register for this free course. Space is limited to 100 attendees.

The phase out only affects Associates and Affiliates planning to submit a Professional Assessment application by 30 April 2025.
