The UK Government has issued guidance covering a wide range of considerations construction firms will have to make ahead of the end of the Brexit transition period.

The UK's transition period will end on 31 December and there will be new rules for businesses in the construction sector from 1 January 2021.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has produced guidance on a host of topics including: importing and exporting; selling of goods; trading with the EU; the workforce; data; providing services; a protocol for Northern Ireland; intellectual property; access to research and development funding; chemical regulations and timber regulations.

The guidance can be viewed here.

The Government has also produced a transition self checker, which allows businesses to answer a series of questions to get a personalised list of actions.
