Queen honours industry leaders
Awards have been given in the Queen's New Year Honours to several people in the construction industry and housing sector to mark their achievements, including:
Rhona Quinn who receives the OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to the construction industry and the community. One of the founder members of building firm QMAC based in Dungannon, County Tyrone, Mrs Quinn provides leadership to the board, supervises strategic development and ensures strong corporate governance.
Peter Andrew, Deputy Chairman of the House Builders' Federation, who receives the OBE for services to the construction industry.
Stephen Howlett, Group Chief Executive, Peabody, who receives the OBE for services to housing.
Andrew Robertson, Chairman of LAR Housing Trust, who receives the OBE for services to veterans, healthcare and affordable housing in Glasgow and the west of Scotland.
Marc Vlessing, Chief Executive of 'micro-homes' developer Pocket Living, who receives the OBE for services to housing delivery.
