Safeguarding membership integrity and protected titles

CIAT takes the integrity of its membership seriously. From time to time, concerns are raised about individuals or organisations presenting themselves in ways that may be misleading.

We actively monitor and regulate the use of our designations, and we encourage anyone who encounters suspicious or inaccurate claims of membership to report them to us at [email protected].

We also remind members that the title architect is legally protected. While some instances of misuse are deliberate, others may be unintentional – particularly online, for example metadata, but they can still result in legal action. To help our members, we have produced a short guide in collaboration with ARB on how to avoid these common pitfalls.
