Travel scholarships now open

ADAM Architecture has launched its annual Travel Scholarship for students, a £1,500 award to support research in architecture, architectural technology and urban design.

I am delighted to share this with our membership and to encourage those who are either eligible or know of someone for whom this may be of interest to apply. ADAM Architecture’s commitment to education, research, international travel and enrichment is embedded into the ethos of the practice.

This is an aspect of the practice of which I am enormously proud to be associated with and pleased to see continue to grow and develop. I am personally committed to education and the intrinsic link that Industry and education should invest in one another. This scholarship is one of a number of initiatives of educational support that ADAM Architecture provides and supports, demonstrating commitment to knowledge and education.

The travel scholarship fits neatly with the Institute’s aspirATion demographic and I hope will attract a number of entries from this group. It is an opportunity not just for the recipient who receives the scholarship, but also for the discipline that they represent to receive some great exposure.

I look forward to seeing a good uptake from those studying Architectural Technology.
