Jonathan Holland Architects have recently acquired an office in the North Cotswolds area as part of our expansion into this region. This role will predominantly be based in Kenilworth, although there may be occasional requirements to attend meetings at our Cotswold office.

What Will You Do

  • Work collaboratively within the design team or independently to deliver projects from concept to completion (RIBA Stages 2-7).
  • Prepare planning documents.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct site visits inspections (including those requiring physical access to scaffold) to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
  • Attend meetings with stakeholders - on site and in office.

Essential Skills and Experience We Look For

  • BSc in Architectural Technology or HNC/HND in Architecture / Building Construction
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in practice post-graduation.
  • Working towards ACIAT or MCIAT.
  • Experience in Residential and Commercial sectors.
  • Competent technical expertise in construction methods and materials and a good understanding of UK building Regulations and Industry Standards.
  • Understanding of the UK Planning system.
  • Proficiency in:
    • AutoCAD
    • SketchUp
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • MS Office Suite
  • Proven site experience.
  • Organised and detail orientated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with collaborating with clients, stakeholders and professional industry consultants and contractors.
  • Reliable and Dependable.
  • Valid driving licence.

Desirables That Would Be of Benefit

  • Experience with 3D rendering software - Lumion.
  • Within a 40-minute commute of our Kenilworth office.

Salary: Negotiable, typically £30k–£38k depending on experience.
