Architectural Technologist required

John Finch Partnership Ltd is seeking a motivated Architectural Technologist to join our growing practice in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, solid technical experience within the residential and commercial sectors, and an enthusiastic approach to high-quality, bespoke design. We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience. MCIAT accreditation is desirable but not essential, and applications from individuals working towards chartership are welcomed. With several exciting new projects recently commencing, this role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience across all RIBA Work Stages within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
The role
This is primarily an office-based role, and following successful completion of the probationary period, there is the option to work from home up to a maximum of two days per week. The position will occasionally involve undertaking, basic measured surveys, client and planning meetings and site visits.
Software skills
Applicants should have experience using the following software:
- Revit
- AutoCAD
- Photoshop
- Microsoft 365
Experience with SketchUp and Lumion would be advantageous. Revit experience is preferred; however, training can be provided for strong candidates who demonstrate expertise in other areas.
Requirements
Applicants should:
- Hold relevant architectural/technical qualifications
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience working within a UK architectural practice.
- Hold a UK driving license.
- Demonstrate strong graphic, technical, and verbal communication skills.
- Show a clear understanding of UK residential construction and Building Regulations
