Preparing for your formative years in industry 

A practical and honest conversation about navigating the transition from university into industry - what to expect, what the degree doesn't necessarily prepare you for, and the skills, mindset and lessons that can help you navigate your first few years in practice. 

Hosted by Charlotte Omo-Edoh ACIAT, a graduate Architectural Technologist who is passionate about bridging the gap between education and professional practice in architecture. Her career spans technical design, BIM and sustainable development, and along the way, she has learnt how challenging it can be for students and early-career professionals to navigate the industry.

Charlott founded LAU:ARCH (Life After Uni:Architecture), a platform building a community for students, graduates and early-career professionals. LAU:ARCH creates spaces where people can ask honest questions, explore architecture beyond the classroom and office, and grow into confident, competent professionals. Through initiatives like live webinars, walking tours and workshops, it focuses on learning, connection, and mentorship, helping early-career professionals gain exposure, confidence, and insight in an often gate-kept industry.

When you register for the session, you’ll have the opportunity to submit questions you’d like Charlotte to cover. Subject to time, we’ll aim to include as many of your questions as possible during the session.
