CIAT is on the Planning Portal

CIAT is excited to announce that CIAT Chartered Practices can now be searched on the Planning Portal website, allowing potential clients to search easily for a Chartered Architectural Technologist.

Clicking on ‘Find a CIAT Chartered Practice’ on the Planning Portal website’s ‘Find a trade professional’ page allows the searcher direct access to ‘Find a CIAT Chartered Practice’.

As well as CIAT, the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) also provide listings, helping visitors to the Planning Portal to find a professional who can assist in any project, from creating architectural plans and drawings, understanding the impact on the natural environment or submitting an application, to finding out if their project meets all the necessary permitted development limits.

Dan Clements MCIAT, Vice-President Practice, says: "I am absolutely delighted that CIAT have now been included under the ‘Find a trade professional’ section of the new England and Wales Planning Portal website. For some years we have been under represented in this area and it is important that we are visible nationally to those members of the public looking for professional design services. Our inclusion onto the website represents an investment not only in every CIAT practitioner working in England and Wales, but also in our profession as a whole.

"Every member of CIAT benefits from the ever-increasing exposure of our profession to those who employ our services, and initiatives like this are invaluable in that growth. We hope that our members feel both the direct benefit of our database of members being so visibly promoted and the knock on effect of our profession being so closely linked with such a high profile platform.”
