Cladding update
McCullough Robertson lawyers have reported that the Queensland Government recently passed the Building and Other Legislation (Cladding) Amendment Regulation 2018 (Qld).
The Regulation, which takes effect from 1 October 2018, requires owners of Class 2 to 9 buildings in Queensland to engage a building industry professional to prepare a building industry professional statement aimed at identifying and assessing the risk of cladding products.
