ICE Northern Ireland roundtable explores infrastructure priorities

ICE Northern Ireland convened a roundtable in Belfast in December 2025, attended by CIAT Immediate Past President Eddie Weir PPCIAT FCIAT.

The discussion brought together representatives from across the built environment, infrastructure and business sectors to consider issues including long-term strategic planning, maintenance and resilience, funding models, skills capacity and progress towards net-zero.

The roundtable was chaired by ICE President David Porter and included contributions from a range of professional bodies and industry leaders, among them Eddie Weir PPCIAT FCIAT, Immediate Past President of CIAT. Discussions were held on the importance of long-term thinking, collaboration across disciplines, and the role of infrastructure in supporting economic resilience and societal wellbeing.
