Your views wanted | Northern Ireland Architecture and the Built Environment Policy

The Northern Ireland Department of Communities is currently reviewing its Architecture and the Built Environment Policy.

The Northern Ireland Department of Communities is currently reviewing its Architecture and the Built Environment Policy (published in June 2006). The Department is seeking input from across the sector, to inform a policy which balances creating buildings and places which meet the needs of current and future communities, while enhancing the natural environment.

They have prepared a short questionnaire, which should only around 15 minutes to complete. The questionnaire can be accessed here.

Members and affiliates in Northern Ireland are encouraged to submit individual responses. CIAT will also be submitting a central response and would welcome input from members and affiliates (particularly in response to free text questions). To make this process easier, we have compiled the questions into the attached Word document below. You can use this both for drafting your own response, and for sharing your views with CIAT.

The deadline for responses is Friday 14 March 2025 at 17:00.

If you would like to contribute to the CIAT response, please email contributions to [email protected] by noon on Monday 10 March, using the attached Word template.
