Plaque for Commended Alan King Award winner 2016

The Marketing Suite at Taylor Wimpey’s luxurious Halstead Grange development in Goffs Oak, Hertfordshire, has won recognition for the exceptional quality of its design.

The building, located at the leading housebuilder’s exclusive collection of five-bedroom homes off Halstead Hill, was commended in the Alan King Award for Excellence in Architectural Technology Awards last November.

To mark this achievement, representatives from CIAT unveiled a plaque at the Marketing Suite on Wednesday 21 June after giving a short presentation and taking a tour of the development.

Designed by GROW Design Studio, the Goffs Oak Marketing Suite was shortlisted along with six other projects, garnering praise from the panel of judges, all of whom were members of CIAT.

'The building was designed to be fast and simple to assemble and disassemble and to be re-useable, assets recognised by the award judges. Demonstrating a modern and simple design approach so as not to detract from the homes for sale, this modest building fits the brief for our clients and goes some way to show the wider industry that pre-fabrication and the use of modern methods of construction can be utilised for all building types.'
