Share your views: RICS code of practice for residential stock condition assessments
RICS is currently consulting on a draft code of practice for residential stock condition assessments.
The code of practice aims to provide a comprehensive guide outlining key concepts of a stock condition survey, legal and regulatory frameworks, how to prepare for a survey, useful information around post-survey tasks and on implementing changes for the next phase of stock condition surveys that will improve the process and likelihood of a successful outcome.
A public consultation is now open on the proposed code. CIAT is not intending to submit a central response to this consultation, but members and affiliates with a particular interest in the topic are encouraged to review the draft code of practice and respond to the consultation directly.
The draft code and online response portal can be found here.
The closing date for comments is 26 January 2025.
