Survey on Building Regulations' guidance in the wake of Grenfell
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) is undertaking some important research on Approved Documents. The MHCLG wants to understand how industry uses the guidance prepared by them to understand the functional requirements of the building regulations.
MHCLG is undertaking this work rapidly in response to a recommendation Dame Judith Hackitt has made in the Interim Report of her Review of the Building Regulations and Fire Safety. She has recommended that the Government considers how the suite of Approved Documents could be structured and ordered to provide a more streamlined, holistic view while retaining the right level of relevant technical detail.
On behalf of MHCLG, we invite you taking the time to fill in the survey to improve the system in the future.
The survey can be found here: http://surveys.ribaenterprises.com/wh/s.asp?k=151877939327
More information on Dame Judith Hackitt’s Independent Review of Buildings Regulations and her Interim Report can be found here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/independent-review-of-building-regulations-and-fire-safety-interim-report.
The survey closes on 6 March.
