Your chance to have your say on the future of Uniclass.

CIAT became a member of the Uniclass Advisory Board (UAB) in 2021, and this provided a link between industry and National Building Specification (NBS) which is responsible for the development of Uniclass.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the Institute to further ensure that we can represent our members and affiliates effectively. Find more information on Uniclass and how this can impact you. Further information on UAB is here.

For CIAT to represent the discipline and profession effectively, it is essential that we receive comments and views to enable us to understand our collective position to empower a representative to contribute and effect change. As you know, the Institute is a member of various committees and taskforces that include dealing with issues relating to fire safety through to procurement, and our involvement in groups such as these provides us with a platform to ensure that the profession is heard. 

We have been asked to provide feedback on Uniclass to facilitate insight and identify potential improvements to Uniclass. Here are a couple of standardised questions to help formulate an Institute response. Please forward you views to [email protected].
