Alex is a tireless advocate for Architectural Technology. He has an exceptional grasp of how to balance the conservation and significance of heritage assets, with the practical longevity of those places; working on some of the most significant structures in the country, which is recognised by his CIAT-Accredited Conservationist status. He is committed to ensuring that clients and their buildings have a solution that will work best for them. He is careful to examine every scenario and option to establish the best approach. Alex leads Buttress' internal Technical Review surgeries, and hosts an online troubleshooting group so that colleagues feel able to seek help and advice at any time, breaking down barriers. He runs regular internal CPDs, open to all, and focussed case study examples to encourage colleagues of all disciplines and levels to think critically and outside of the box.

Craig has been blazing a trail for the discipline of Architectural Technology in the United States since 2016. Although the discipline of Architectural Technology is not formally recognised in the US, this has not stopped Craig from gaining a significant role in projects, his firm and in the industry. His point of view through the Architectural Technology lens has allowed him to lead clients through transformational change in all his work. From his leadership of a large studio to still rolling up his detailing sleeves, he brings impact to all his projects and those around him. Through the very successful Where it's AT campaign, Craig worked with CIAT to ensure that the discipline of Architectural Technology has a spotlight on it. Craig is an asset for CIAT when it comes to the promotion of the discipline and Institute on the global stage.

Sarah has overcome adversity to be a superb Chartered Architectural Technologist, setting excellent examples of perseverance and that no one should be deterred by the hurdles life throws at you. Sarah has a keen eye for detail and fully submerges herself in keeping up to date, attending regular CPDs and having general discussions with technical specialists. She invests a lot of time into helping and supporting the next generation of Architectural Technology professionals. During her time at HSSP, she was involved in mentoring student placements, which brought her into contact with cutting edge and experimental technologies. She continues to strive to be an inspiration to those around her in the industry and the students she teaches at De Montfort University, therefore ensuring the next generation are prepared for what the future holds.
