Belfast | aspiration Educational Trip to Belfast

CIAT's aspiration Group is delighted to invite you to an unforgettable educational trip to Belfast from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September 2024. 

This fantastic opportunity is designed for students, graduates, Associates, affiliates and recently qualified Chartered Members to come together, experience the city, network, and have fun.

Event details

• Contribution: £50 deposit contribution required.
• Accommodation: Individual room provided at Queen's University, Belfast
• Travel: Individuals are expected to arrive in Belfast and be available to meet by 14:00 on Friday 30 August.
• Spaces: Maximum 16 - Register your interest now!
• Who can join: students, graduates, Associates, affiliates and recently qualified Chartered Members of CIAT.
• N.B:  Flights or other travel expenses to and from Belfast are the responsibility of each individual. These costs can be expensed to the respective Regional/Centre aspiration Committee up to a maximum of £100. Additionally, while accommodation and scheduled activities are covered, participants will need to cover their own expenses for food, drinks, travel within the city, and any additional activities they wish to pursue during the trip.

Friday 30 August

• Arrival: Settle in and get ready for the weekend ahead.
• Architectural practice tour: Visit a renowned architectural practice in Belfast.
• CPDs and workshops: Engage in informative sessions and hands-on workshops to enhance your professional skills.
• Northern Ireland Regional event: Enjoy an evening social event, perfect for networking and making new friends.
   

Saturday 31 August

• Architectural walking tour: Discover the architectural highlights of Belfast with a guided tour.
• Titanic Experience: Dive into Belfast's maritime history with a visit to the Titanic Experience.
• Evening activity: Have fun with activities like bowling, arcade games, and a delicious group meal - activity to be confirmed.
   

Sunday 1 September

• Free day: Explore Belfast at your own pace.
• Optional visits:
  Ulster Museum: Delve into history and culture.
  The Naughton Gallery: Enjoy contemporary art exhibitions.
  Crumlin Road Prison: Take a guided tour of this historic site.
  Other art galleries and museums: Immerse yourself in Belfast’s rich cultural scene.
• Lunch meet-up: Join us for a relaxed lunch before everyone heads home.
