Speaker Biography
Jamal Alabid is an Assistant Professor in Architectural Technology and a Chartered Architectural Technologist MCIAT, at the Faculty of Engineering & Digital Technologies, in the School of the Built Environment, Architecture & Creative Industries at the University of Bradford. Jamal is a Fellow of UK Higher Education FHEA, Member of AECB and Certified Passivhaus Designer & Consultant, PAS2035:Retrofit Coordinator and PHPP Expert. Jamal is the holder of several academic and professional qualifications including BSc, MA, PGDip, PGCE and PhD in Architectural Technology & Engineering as well as holding a level 5 diploma in Retrofit Coordination and a level 5 diploma in Business Management & Leadership. Jamal has worked in the past for Heriot Watt University as an Assistant Professor in Architectural Engineering 2019-21, Lecturer in Design Studio & Technology at De Montfort University, Leicester 2016-19 and at Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen 2021-22.
