Role Description

Fraher & Findlay is an award winning, architect-led design and build company with 15 years experience of delivering high end architectural projects for home and business owners. We are looking for an experienced Architectural Technologist who would be good to join a medium sized experienced team.

If you are an experienced Technologist with a proven delivery track record, in particular within high-end residential projects, then you are someone we want to hear from. We create creative and engaging spaces for our clients; both in the design and in the way we build and construct them. We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is design focused, highly organised and efficient in multitasking to join the team as an Architectural Technologist. Our work is very detailed and most of our projects are situated within complex planning environments.

We pride ourselves on our relationships with our clients, wider Design Team and our Build Team. The individual will work alongside our Design Team (qualified architects) and out on site Build Teams and partner contractors. The Architectural Technologist is a critical role within the team helping us to maintain our high level of building detailing, delivery of RIBA Stage 4 construction packs and RIBA stage 5 on site building detail resolution work.

You would be expected to work on a number of medium sized projects alongside the Project Architect Lead and helping to mentor younger architects with respect to construction detailing. You would be expected to adapt design intent information into technical drawings and specification material ready for construction and forming the building contract. This would be alongside the Project Architect.

The role is not client facing but requires excellent organisation, detailed design experience, problem solving and great communication and collaboration skills within the design team. This is a unique role to work with an award-winning architectural firm that is now offering a full design and build service for clients. Working from initial concept design right through delivery on site using a combination of our in house build teams and external sub-contractors.
