Architectural Technologist required
Role Description
KSA Chartered Architects is seeking a talented Architectural Technologist to join our current team of 5 people.
We are a design orientated practice, enjoying a wide variety of bespoke and private commissions within both rural and town contexts. Most of our projects are of a small to medium scale and within the North East of Scotland. We carry out work on private houses, conservation, community and commercial projects. We work closely with our clients and provide a bespoke design service aiming for a high level of client satisfaction. We have a regular CPD programme and a culture that encourages professional growth and individual responsibility. We would anticipate you working in tandem with a project architect. Over time you would be allocated your own projects in the office to work on independently.
Key responsibilities
- Carrying out site surveys.
- Preparing planning application and building warrant packages.
- Preparing tender packages & Health & Safety Pre-Construction information.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors, consultants and statutory bodies.
- Attending site visits to inspect works, and assisting project architect in administrating the building contract
Position requirements
- HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Architectural Technology or similar.
- Proficiency with CAD drawing software – Vectorworks desirable but not essential
- Live within a commutable distance to Montrose.
- Able to work well within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good technical knowledge. •
- 2 years plus experience as an Architectural Technologist
Salary would be dependent upon experience, with salary expectations to be discussed at interview.
