STATUS AND PROFESSIONAL CREDIBILITY

The CEnv qualification demonstrates that an individual has been deemed by their peers to have a high level of skill and experience and is working to a high standard.

Having CEnvs leading and making decisions helps to enhance public trust in environmental services and those responsible for environmental related decisions.

INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE

There are environmental challenges present in all societies around the globe and across a variety of industries.

RECOGNITION

The qualification is an excellent way of recognising expertise in sustainable environmental management and development. For example, it adds values in the eyes of clients such as the Government, providing assurances of an individual's competence when seeking to appoint advisers or consultants for funding and grants.

JOINING THE NETWORK

CEnvs will be added to the environmental professional directory on the Society for the Environment's website which is accessible by those looking for relevant professionals and allows CEnvs to find relevant contacts to build their network.

TRUST

The CEnv is a qualification people can trust. For example, an employer can have confidence in the environmental competence and professionalism of their Chartered Environmentalist employee knowing that they adhere to a Code of Conduct and maintain their competence through continuing professional development (CPD).

Being a CEnv may help secure new work and clients due to the trust it engenders in an individual's abilities.

MASTERS-LEVEL QUALIFICATION

The qualification demonstrates a Member's expertise in the environment and sustainability which sits alongside, and complements the Chartered Architectural Technologist qualification.
