The Centre for Construction Best Practice has completed a Government-backed national study into Early Contractor Involvement across public sector capital projects.

Using data from over 400 public sector projects, the research quantifies what changes (in cost, programme, risk and buildability) when contractors are procured at RIBA stages 1-2, versus RIBA stages 3-4. The findings have a Government forward and will be presented to Parliament by Mike Reader MP, Chair of the APPG for Excellence in the Built Environment.

The centre will be sharing the findings exclusively at a national research briefing in Manchester on Thursday 3 June. The organisations in the room will be the first to understand what the evidence says, and the first to be able to advise on it.

CCBP have allocated a limited number of spaces for consultancy firms to ensure the room is balanced with clients, contractors and consultants. For practices advising on procurement routes and managing RIBA stages, it is a must attend event.
