Travel scholarship for AT students
ADAM Architecture has launched its annual Travel Scholarship. Now in its twelfth year, the £1,500 award aims to support research in architecture, architectural technology and urban design.
The scholarship is open to students enrolled at a UK or International University or School of Architecture, studying RIBA Part I up to 3 years after Part II, CIAT Accredited degree or post-graduate course.
A demonstrable related qualification will be considered equivalent to an Honours or Masters degree level.
The judging panel will include the Directors at ADAM Architecture, with Professor Lorraine Farrelly, Head of Architecture at Reading University and freelance journalist Eleanor Doughty.
The judges will be looking for a significant piece of original research work, and an outstanding contribution to architectural knowledge.
Previous winners have travelled to Valletta, Japan, Cuba, France, Belgium, Sicily, Rome and Ethiopia.
Speaking about the Scholarship, ADAM Architecture Director Robbie Kerr commented, 'This is a great opportunity for a student or recent graduate to travel abroad to engage in international research in architecture and urban design. It has a proven track record of supporting students to pursue an interest, often outside of their studies, and in many cases their research has had a major influence on their career choices.'
The closing date for entries is 26th April 2017.
