CIAT Past President wins lifetime achievement award
Barry Le Beuvant PPCIAT FCIAT was the recipient of the Jersey Construction Council Lifetime Achiever Award last month.
The Jersey Construction Council (JeCC) Awards showcase the companies, projects, and individuals who have set new standards for excellence, sustainability, and community impact in the sector.
Barry Le Beuvant PPCIAT FCIAT was the winner of the JeCC Lifetime Achiever Award at the event held on 21 September at the Royal Jersey Showground.
Barry has accomplished a 51-year career on-island in architectural practice as a Chartered Architectural Technologist, undertaking many of the most challenging, diverse and largest projects in Jersey. He was a principal and equity partner in Arkitecture Ltd. for 21 years.
Alongside his practice work, Barry represented his profession and the wider Jersey construction industry on the Jersey Construction Council, was an external examiner for London South Bank University's and Birmingham City University's Architectural Technology and Construction Management degree programmes and is a CIAT Professional Assessment assessor and moderator.
As well as representing the Channel Islands Region as Councillor and Chair, Barry was CIAT President from 2009 to 2011.
Upon receiving his award, Barry said:
I only achieved this lifetime achievement award because I have been deeply involved with the Institute since the early days of SAAT. This honour is not just a recognition of my journey, but a testament to CIAT's evolution and success. In many ways, this award belongs to the Institute as much as it does to me.
