Construction Industry LGBTQ+ network launches new resource to support allyship in the workplace

A new campaign that aims to support allyship of the LGBTQ+ community within construction, engineering and the built environment sector has been launched by Building Equality.

Launching in February – LGBTQ+ History Month – Building Equality has released a Toolbox Talk aimed at educating the construction workforce, to empower colleagues across the industry to become active allies. The free resource explores the importance of allyship and how individuals and businesses can make a positive difference through small changes; alongside introducing LGBTQ+ terminology to widen understanding of the community.

Building Equality will host a knowledge share and collaboration webinar, where the first delivery of the toolbox talk will be presented virtually. The webinar is open to all. Join the session to explore how you can 'live' being an ally year-round. Through useful hints and tips and addressing ongoing issues faced by the LGBTQ+ community, learn how your organisation can facilitate allyship to create inclusive work environments.

‘Allies Toolbox Talk Launch - Thursday 18 February, 15.00 - 16.00 - register to the webinar here.
