CROSS Alert - automatic opening vents

Collaborative Reporting for Safer Structures UK (CROSS-UK) has issued a new safety alert.

It draws attention to the risks of preventing the operation of smoke vents, in particular Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs), during construction works on existing buildings.

This alert is relevant to (among others) designers and principal designers (CDM) working on existing buildings. The full alert can be found here.
