Free training in digital technologies and BIM

All members and affiliates can sign up for free training in digital technologies and BIM, aimed at facilitating energy efficiency in construction.

This is offered by a project funded under the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme. We are sharing the following information and encourage members and affiliates to enrol:

Offer of free access to Digital Construction Training, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), as tools to support energy efficiency

The ARISE Project - www.ariseproject.eu, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant agreement No 785155 and No 101033864), is implemented by an international consortium including: BMC, TUDublin, the Architects' Council of Europe, Instituto Superior Técnico, among others. It offers free training to raise awareness and teach the use of digital tools for energy efficiency, including BIM processes.

The training is online and free, available through the ARISE platform.

Format

It is divided into micro modules, which can be taken individually or cumulatively. Each learning activity within the modules is a maximum of 15 minutes long, making it easy for professionals with limited time to access and complete the training. A certificate equivalent in the form of digital 'badges' will be issued at the end of this offer period, after completing the modules.

It is aimed at all built environment professionals and stakeholders The training is available to all who register and begin by October 2024 (with an extension until December to allow for completion of the training)

There are currently over 1,000 active users participating in a variety of modules, from BIM fundamentals and information management to BIM Modelling. More than 2,000 digital 'badges' have already been issued, demonstrating the high interest of professionals in developing these skills to stay ahead in the job market and meet industry requirements.
